Nautical Gourmet Atlas was shaped through years of work along the Croatian coast.
Since 2011, while filming television series focused on sailing, travel, and gastronomy, we have spent thousands of hours on location — in konobas, restaurants, wineries, and small family-run places often overlooked by mainstream tourism.

During that time, we met a remarkable number of people and discovered places that operate with integrity, care, and genuine passion, yet often lack the visibility they deserve.

Nautical Gourmet Atlas was created with a simple goal: to help boaters and travellers more easily discover authentic coastal places truly worth visiting.

Who is behind the project

The project was created and led by Željko Stuić, a producer and author of internationally broadcast television series dedicated to the Croatian coast, sailing, and gastronomy.

Since 2015, he has produced more than a hundred episodes for Nautical Channel, exploring hundreds of coastal destinations and meeting a wide range of boaters, captains, skippers, as well as professionals from marinas, charter companies, and the wider nautical industry.

Through these encounters, he gained first-hand insight into their needs and challenges — especially when it comes to finding reliable, high-quality places along the coast.

At the same time, he also met hundreds of restaurateurs, winemakers, and local producers who often face a similar issue: they offer outstanding products and experiences, yet struggle to reach the guests who truly appreciate them.

Nautical Gourmet Atlas was created to bridge that gap — connecting these two sides in a meaningful and lasting way.

Our approach

Nautical Gourmet Atlas is not an open directory, nor a platform driven by mass reviews.

The places included in the atlas are selected based on experience, trusted recommendations, and long-term reputation — with a clear focus on quality, authenticity, and genuine hospitality.

The goal is simple: to create a guide you can rely on when deciding where to stop, where to sit down for a meal, and what to experience along the Croatian coast.
