Škatula is a small island tasting room and pastry shop in Lumbarda, built around a simple idea — to preserve and revive traditional Korčula sweets.

What began as a personal project has grown into a recognised place where old recipes are brought back to life — from klašuni and cukarini to other desserts once common in local homes.

Beyond the cakes themselves, the experience includes tastings and workshops that pass on techniques and knowledge, often in the same way they were once shared across generations.

The space is small, warm, and understated — closer to a home than a classic pastry shop — with a clear focus on authenticity rather than presentation.

Škatula is a place where Korčula is not explained, but tasted.
